Changing the way the world does business has never been as actual as it is in these days. During the last year we contacted our European colleagues of SVN in order to re-vitalize SVN Europe. One way we agreed upon was taking the initiative to organize an European/international SVN conference. In the Netherlands we recently formed a group for this event and we are planning to have a conference from 23rd-26th June, next in the Netherlands.
Some of the Dutch group joined the SVN Fall Conference in October 2010 in the USA and we re-established our cooperation with our friends and colleague’s over there. We got a lot of support/inspiration for our intention to take the lead to organize this European/international conference. Although we take the lead, we will never have a European Conference without the involvement of our SVN-European organization/members, etc.
So we will ask you to join our forces and make it a real European SVN conference and get as many members of our several countries coming to this conference as well as representatives from the States and Asia.
The central theme of the conference will be ‘internalization of CSR’, which means ‘get on the dance floor, let it show, blossom and grow’. Full hearted.
The general outline of the conference as we suggest will be:
Thursday: from 15.00 registrations, getting to know each other as friends, networking, a dinner with speeches of all the chairs of SVN Boards, becoming an international community of SVN members.
Friday: hard/male (business) issues where we get all inspired, ideas and tools to use in our day to day business. Young entrepreneurs will join us and shake us up. Evening George Mailman awards for SVN entrepeneurs (please send us your entries).
Saturday: soft/female issues, like personal inspiration, experience, the passion from the heart, a men and women circle, and never to forget a big swinging party in the evening.
Sunday: closing ceremony, next steps, commitments, etc .
What we like from you at this moment:
- spread the information among your members about the dates
- please give us input about your ideas of workshops,
- people who you would like to have to offer an inspiring interactive workshop Friday and/or Saturday
- entrepreneurs of your organization that can be nominated for the Josh Mailman award (the founder of SVN in US), and the reasoning behind
- estimation of the number of members who you think will join
- sponsors who you might know among your members who are interesting to approach for this SVN EU conference and the way to approach them in cooperation with you
- a pinpoint/focus person from your SVN organization for us to cooperate in this process to work towards the conference, to give input, make decisions, share information, has the time to do work among your members to get them inspired to come, etc.

We realize it is short notice, but we gathered so much inspiration recently with a group of SVN entrepreneurs in the Netherlands for this idea and have Leen Zevenbergen on board, who now is the CEO of Qurius, and who is willing to take the lead for this European conference. We formed a voluntary team of experienced people to organize such an event. We do realize it is an European/International conference, so we need people from the respective SVN European organizations to cooperate.
So please join us as SVN Europe organization to make this a real European/International happening that will inspire your members until the next European SVN event.

We can skype, email, and phone in order to cooperate with each other to get this conference as European as possible and make a statement about SVN entrepreneurs who will change the way the world does business.
